Description

:iconbanditguildoct:

This is my Judge design for the OCT. I'll punch out all his details when I get the reff made up.

But basic's are, His nickname is "SAC". Meaning this is a name he's known by, cuz he's a compulsive liar. That being said, when he's asked his name.. he givers several different ones and sorta forgets the ones he's used. So he doesn't answer to them after awhile.

But the one that seems to stick as a nickname is Sac.

:iconicameplz:
more details to come.

I Really like how this turned out. I feel this is one of my better works as of recent. I don't know why exactly. BUT IM RATHER PROUD OF IT!

Well, you requested critique, and since you're so proud of this piece, I'd be glad to oblige.
Vision-I think you displayed a great amount of character here. He comes off as a pirate or gold digger, and as a conman that isn't far off at all. He definitely loves being a bandit! ♥
Originality-All of your characters are definitely something else, Nork! I must admit that when I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was scarecrow from batman (mostly the head stitches); however, I absolutely adore his design, from his neepads, to his sash, up his snazzyazzy fest, and through the frays on his collar, it's all magnificent and littered with character. Not sure what material his face is, and even though doll-like creatures have been done before, I'm really digging the button eyes and the way his face crumples around them. Reaching poses from above are popular, but for me, they don't really get old, especially when you put all of those items at the bottom, I can only imagine how they relate to him. A barrel of water, a pumpkin with a cross in it, a...pole jutting out of a cinderblock? You seem to be very fond of the hand-reaching pose, haha (or it could be a salutation).
Technique-I love your perspective here, Nork! Anyway, I like your lines and absolutely love the detail. The little pieces of gold look like they were a pain, and you dispersed them very skillfully. Small stuff like that shows a lot of determination. The way you shade with lines is also great, it's easy to see the different textures of objects, such as the metal from rock, and the splitting of old wooden chests. From your other pictures, I see a lot of good line width (such as closer objects having slightly thicket lines). With all of the metal shading on the bottom, I think that might have worked well here. The only other things I can imagine that would help are actually coloring and shading. The layout of this picture is almost a triangular shape, but the arm being lifted on the left throws it off and makes the piece left-heavy, which is almost balanced out by the flag on the right. Speaking of the right, the picture sort of pulls up and to the right, ways of helping to avoid that is while drawing, invert the picture. If drawing traditionally, you can flip the paper over and hold it up to the light to look at the sketch, creates the same effect.Oh, and...I don't know why his thighs are so pointy in the front...are they supposed to be like that?
Impact-This is definitely a character that I will think of from time-to-time (especially since I'll be entering that OCT there, hurr). I really love the items on the floor (haha, beartrap) and will probably refer to it for perspective purposes. I think what I'll remember most, though, is face wrinkles and menacing smile, and how it has a very Nork style.
All in all, a very good piece, I always enjoy your linework. Can't wait to see more of him!
